How to upload pics?
« on: May 30, 2015, 01:30:28 am »
I have tried to upload pictures of my bike and a picture of me for my profile & been told that my files are too big. I have no problem attaching the same pictures to emails etc. Any suggestions?

There is no such thing as too much ammo, unless you are on fire or trying to swim.

In addition to the link Flat-spot provided above, here is a link to another thread on posting pics.

Hosting photos in a personal photo sharing web site and linking the image here is the best option.

If uploading images directly to this forum there are file size limitations to be aware...
  • Attachments to posts: 350kB each, up to 4 per post
  • Uploads to forum Media Center: 5000kB each; create albums to group images; Can easily link images to threads using an image tag link. To limit spam, you must have 10 posts on the forum before you can create an album and post pics.

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

In general when pics are to big I use the program called Paint that comes on most every PC.  Call it in with Paint and choose to re-size.   Drop it down and save as another file name so you don't loose the hi rez one.
