I'm with you there and agree. logged off, back on again multiple times. I do get email notifications, but no description in the email notice so like you said you have to login in to the forum to see the new  message or reply. PIA

I'm one of those who find it extremely frustrating to get notified that something changed or was added...and have no clue what it is...which requires I log into the forum to find out.

If it can't be changed back to be like every other forum that gives you the text of the new message or reply, I think I'll just turn off notifications.  If I think of checking for new posts, I guess I'll find out what has happened.  If I don't remember...well, you probably won't hear from me...and life will go on for each of us.

I logged off.  Logged back on.  This is what I get.  Isn't it ironic that the notifications I got were on why to join COG?

I'll just turn off all notifications.  It's just not worth the frustration of logging on, only to find the post was something you really didn't care about.

ok, it seems simple...
I just clicked the "NOTIFY/subscribe" button, ABOVE THE FIRST POSTING IN THE THREAD, NEXT TO THE "REPLY" BUTTON....and it had dialog, then I hit it again, and checked the box about additional dialogs...
and then the button turns to "UN NOTIFY/unsubscribe"... then, clicking that button unsubscribes that particular thread...

am I missing something?

you clicked the "NOTIFY/subscribe" thing, so now you have to find all the threads, you clicked that button on, and "UN NOTIFY/unsubscribe them...." MANUALLY.

get it?
