I like it too.  It seems to be working well and clicking along fine.  Colin spear headed the project but I know others contributed.  Thanks to all.

Most welcome Dave;

I appreciate your thanks, and all the help from the other members and officers for their much needed, and appreciated support and assistance.

It took longer than I anticipated, some of the delay was political, other was just the complexity of the task at hand.

Cheers

Colin

I "second" the emotion. And i relly like the "show unread posts" and "show new replies" links below my sign in.  :D If it would allow me to hit "next" and stay on unread or reply posts it would be ever slightly better han going back yo yhe top, reloading then clicking the next in line... but it is a great layout and I really like the group here above the "noisy..er" gtr forum!

@doug - One simple solution to go to the next "new" message.... Use the browser BACK button to return to the list of new posts... then select the next new one.

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

Good suggestion Steve! I have done it that way as well. At some point though I return to the "see new posts" to eliminate the read ones from the list. Without "refreshing" in that way they never clear. All minor "keypadbuttonpusher" issues. I am still looking for the "ID 10 T" key as well, they should be on all my electronic playthings.  :P It is a great site and I appreciate all the work you brainiacs  8) do to make it as enjoyable as you have! doug

Being heavily anchored in the joys of this form and lovin the quality and easy of motion here I never realized that a great number of my areas membership including my AAD is still mostly active only through e-mail and such.  :o  I have to go find my member book (forgot I even  got it!!) to try and get on the e-mail communication side to see what is happening in my area.  :-[ My first e-mail will be along the lines of "here is the link to the new forum...."  :D

Thanks Colin and all for a great way to grow the group and stay in touch!

Kinda surprised you all don't use this tip:  When looking at the list of New Posts, hold down the Control key and click on the messages you want to look at first.

Each click creates a new tab for that message thread.  When done reading the thread, close it quickly with a Control-W.  Another tab will then be revealed and speed you through your interesting messages.
