Using the Search Function - HELP
« on: March 05, 2015, 03:02:10 pm »
So, if I want to find "all posts" made in the past (3) days, how can I do this?  I tried using the search function, but it keeps coming back with no results.  TIA!

Use the "Advanced Search" feature?   Maybe not to find *all* posts as this requires at least one search word and does not accept a wild card char.

How about using the "Show unread posts since last visit" ?  This may not work if you visit often.

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

Search doesn't work that way, you need to search for a word, or words. If you search for the terms 'all posts' then search will look for those two words in the database. If you leave it blank it will tell you you need to have some terms to search for.

However, there is no need to use search to find all the posts in the last three days.

If you click the link 'Show unread posts since last visit.' (above, under your name) then click 'All Unread Topics' (at the bottom right) you will see all topics that you haven't seen.

If you want to see all topics posted in the last 3 days, including the ones you have already read, go to the index page and look at each board separately.
