Where is the change password function?
« on: August 03, 2017, 01:35:50 pm »
ok, dumbest question ever...  :D  :-[  :rotflmao:

Where is the change password function on this website?

I looked everywhere I could think of. Must have passed it right by.

My pw is decently strong but I'm going full strong on all my internet passwords with LastPass password manager. When I'm done it will not be this password but it it will be as strong as:

hH3^B75HD#rPazHy#vt^!x7d4

Thank you kind people...

Log on to www.cog-online.org

Click on "My Info"

Place your cursor over the "view" box and click on "My Membership" in the drop down box

Place your cursor on the "Actions" box and then click on "Edit Username/Pwd"

Enter your new password and then click on "Update"

Make sure you have pop up boxes enabled for the COG site, or you will not be able to see the necessary pop up boxes.

I believe this information is out of date.

I don't see "My Info", nor any of the rest.

I'd like to change my password, so . . . please advise.

If you are logged into the Member's Area, then click on "Members Links" and then you should be able to see "My Info".

And make sure you are on the COG Home Page
http://cog-online.org/

and not the forum
http://forum.cog-online.org/

to find the Members Area in the far right of the menu at the top

If you are logged into the Member's Area, then click on "Members Links" and then you should be able to see "My Info".

So, I get to that area and see "My Info".

I see all my info, but I still don't see where we can change our password.

What am I missing?

NEVER MIND!

  I found it.  Thanks!

There's a couple missing steps needed...
On the My Info page click use View pull down and select My Membership
Then use Action pull down and select Edit Username/Pwd

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."
