Why isn't the forum https?
« on: March 10, 2019, 02:48:24 pm »
I have 2 questions really, the jeopardy answer to both are in the category of "things we don't have time for yet".
1. Why isn't the forum in https instead of http? Some of my browsers give me a panic warning for http websites,
My old tablet doesn't mind but it's told me it's too old to update Chrome any more, so even that going to be too old soon.
2.  Why not initiate a thread seach when posting a new topic (in tech sections, mostly).
I wouldn't necessarily want to add my topic to another thread called "New to me C10"  but some things beg for a search rather than initiating a bunch of you'll find it here (link) responses.  It can seem friendlier to get a response and it does indicate who's here these days, but memories do fade away.

That's all, have a nice day :-)

I have the same question. It keeps telling me the site is not secure. I also am unable to post on the classifieds section. Not sure it is related.

IMO, I wouldn't worry about secure or not secure, unless you're making a payment (e.g., buying a COG item). Again, my opinion.

You may have to be a non-focus subscriber to post a classified, but I don't know that for sure ... guessing, I am.

Not related. You should be able to post in the classified section of the forum. Post screen shots where you are having the issue.
