'08 Front Brakes Chatter
« on: April 08, 2013, 01:47:55 am »
Been noticing lately that if I brake hard the front brakes chatter.  I know several people have had their rotors repaced.  My bike is out of warranty, but I took it to the dealer to have them check the rotors.  They told me runout was normal and a test ride didn't show any problems.  I thin they didn't nail the brakes very hard.  Assuming the rotors are okay, is there anything to do to help wit the chatter?  I don't mind replacing the rotors and pads but if it's not necessary I can use the money for other things.

- use a 10 mm allen key and turn the bobbins (7 , i think) which hold the brake disc to the disc holder.

- turn them till they're nice and smooth.

- lots of rust/crap will fall out.

- go out and test your bike.
