Enjoy your new ride. Beautiful bike!

Thank you, I appreciate! It's kind of strange because all I've ever owned are Kawasaki's...so strange owning a Triumph but the bike is sweet so I'm happy..thank you for the compliment :great:!

How's the power and handling in comparison?

Hi,
At least you got the right color! ;D

Good luck! :great:

Hi sininja, that's what was so surprising! The power, although a different power than the C14, is there. This bike is quick and gets to speed plenty fast enough but in a very smooth fashion! Handling...no comparison, the Trophy out handles the C14 by a long shot! The bike handles like it's half the weight of the C14! It is extremely nimble and sooooo easy to ride, ridiculously easy! And, I rode it with the wife on back and the suspension (ESA) is dynamic and senses the weight change and constantly updates the suspension...the bike handled like I was on it alone...AWESOME!

I'm sure the tech is there, so I can't disparage that aspect, but appearance-wise, the Triumph looks like a C14 trying to be a BMW!

Nevertheless, the bike is purty, so stay safe and enjoy!

Hi Steve and "thank you"!

The switch...well, the new bike that I was going to buy at the 'end-of-the-year' was going to be either the C14 or Trophy. For a long time the C14 always carried the edge over the Trophy. I was constantly struggling with which bike I'd want to own and wanted to put the 'debate' in my head to rest so I test rode both new bikes last week and as soon as I rode the Trophy I knew it was going to be my next bike.

It has really great power, smooth power and then all of the other features and comfort the bike offers made it a 'no-brainer' for me and the wife (she w as a factor in this decision as well...she needs to be comfortable)! That's how it happened! Plus, I have heard rumors that the Trophy may be discontinued here in the states and I didn't want to miss out on owning one from the start (new) so I did it!

Do you 'flash' Trophy's :motonoises:??? LOL!

Small disclaimer, after reading you thread about opinions comparing the 2 bikes, I went to Triumphs site and had a good look see at the Trophys.  Great looking bike.  Now I want to test ride one!    Congrats! :)

Thanks! Get on it and you won't get off...just sayin' :)!

For my wife and I it was easy, the bike offered to much comfort, smooth power, option and accessories and too much fun to pass up! I will tell you that riding with her on the back was absolutely no different than riding alone...it was pretty amazing!

Well-l-l-l.....must you make us ask....

"Triumph offers promos a couple of times during the year where the bike goes from $19k+ down to $15,5k and an additional $1.5k toward accessories. If I choose Trophy I will wait for a promo and then get it!"

....the damages Sir!

Did you get the above mentioned promo deal, what accessories did you get with the $1500....

We can live vicariously can't we?

Hey NYbiomed, no...I did not get the bike on any promo. I was aware of those promos but the bike they had was the one I wanted and so I made sure I got it! Plus, I was getting close to 50k miles on my C14 and wanted to get it while I had some 'value' left. I got them down to $16,500 so not too bad. I financed the accessories and ended up getting; 1) Comfort Seats, 2) Tall windscreen, 3) GPS Mount and Garmin Zumo 390, 4) Trunk with sliding carriage and back rest for the wife, 5) the Tank Bag made for the bike...all-in-all I'm happy with what I got and the bike is sooooo good! Worth every penny!

You do know no body cares what you ride. If for some reason I ended up with another bike besides a C14 as my primary motorcycle, I would stay because while being part of COG by golly I've made some friends who I would like to keep and continue riding with once in awhile.   ;)

You do have a point! Thank you for that!

So, for those of you wondering, I will still be in here from time to time and will jump into conversations where I can. Like I said, I have made some good 'forum friends' here which I do appreciate so maybe this isn't "goodbye" but more like, "I have a new Trophy now so I will be out putting lots of miles on it and I'll be in here on occasion"...how's that?

I agree. Stick around and continue to contribute and be entertained.
