Great news, Steve!
I can't wait to finish my break-in miles so I can be in the next hundred happy customers.

By the way, are you going to be flashing in Helen?  :-\ :-\

By the way, are you going to be flashing in Helen?  :-\ :-\

I will be flashing at Helen. I will also be giving away a flash, or 2, or maybe 3. But it's going to be a bit different than one might expect.

When I decided to donate a flash at the national and also flash at the national, I was confronted by what I'd learned from years with the c-10 guys:
   1) when you donate a prize, often a guy who doesn't want it wins it, but won't give it to a friend who does want it. No winners there.
   2) if I say I'm flashing AND giving away a flash, who would buy a flash? answer - nobody... because everyone would hope to win the flash!

So here's how it's going to work. If you are present at the national, and I have flashed your ECU, you will put your name in a box with all of the people who I flash at the national. From that group I will pull a random name, and that person will have the cost of the flash refunded to them. If I flash 20 at the national, I will pull 2 names. If I flash 30, I will pull 3 names.

The idea here is that only a person who actually wanted the flash will get their flash for free, and those who bought prior to the national aren't "penalized" for not being flashed at the national.

So... do y'all like it?  ;)  Steve

Plus, if you win the draw, you'll actually leave a rally with money still in your pocket. That would be a first at my house and greatly decrease the negative feedback I will receive for spending it in the first place.  :)  win-win

Hey Mage, you really want to blow a gasket? I've done over 500 sets of concours C-10 carbs? Over 500!!! Do the math on that! :nananana:  Steve

I'm amazed that anyone could brag about shooting fish in a barrel.  Especially when they own the barrel and the Nazis silence any and all opposition.  If that's what you take pride in, Steve, it serves only make who you are even more clear (if that's possible).

But someday, just for kicks, try playing a game that's not rigged?  ...   nah.

Thanks again Steve, your tune truly does transform the C14 from a good bike into an excellent one. And I'll definitely have to make it down to Helen this year, can't beat having the chance to keep my flash and getting my money back! :beerchug:

I really wish we could develop sme different terminology for this process. To hear that SISF is going to be "FLASHING" at the National sounds vaguely pornographic.  :-\  Steve, you know I'm joking  ;) . I'm proud of you and proud to tell people that I count you as one of my friends. Remember "Non carborundum illigitimi." (Don't let the bastards wear you down.) :great:

Ya know Mage, it's getting kinda tiring watching you bash someone I know, and personally have as a friend, while you sit back on your (azz) laurels, being a simple douche. I'm risking a severe lashing here from those in power on this forum, but enough is enough, and I'm drawing the line... Stop.... Simply stop, just stop bashing someone who is giving his time, and effort, and has been giving it since I resigned as the Tech Editor.

You have zero creds here, you only thrive to bash. We, as an organization, and a friendly club, do not need this type of behavior.

Is this sinking In?

I refrained from emoticons, as there are none here to relate my personal feelings on this.

Thanks Ted.

that blip on this thread really slowed my roll, I was pretty pumped and enthused for hitting the 100 mark, now I'm getting gun shy to even post at all  :-[

To date, I think the flash conversations here in the c-14 section have been appropriately placed; there's been a lot of folks with questions, and I know this is the first time we collectively can ask questions regarding tuning, flashing, pcv tuning, etc, Lot's of previous misconceptions have been answered, and I think we all better educated about our c-14's as a result. And when I say "we" I really include myself in that, I learn from y'all constantly.

At this point  I think I'm gong to move my future posts about the flash to the "industry Member offerings" section. Maybe there will be less chance of moderation there, and there will hopefully be less feedback  that it was somehow "my fault' that negative posts were generated and that moderation was needed. And in all seriousness, It has been suggested to me that if I don't start threads this kind of thing can't happen, but I think the root of the problem is behind us now.   Steve

:) That root has migrated. We'll see how long it stays alive. Start whatever thread you want, where ever you want and if it's thought provoking and educational it will thrive. I appreciate the information and the availability of another mod for the 14. I still find it perplexing that you have caught so much crap that was never dumped on anyone else that was offering ecu mods.

gPink,
Steve seems to constantly go against the grain with his mods. All he does is test and retest and develop and test again to make sure they are foolproof and perfect every time. America and most americans don't want that kind of thoroughness and professionalism in their products anymore. I.E. WALMART!
Steve,
When are you gonna get the picture and start dumping cheap worthless crap on the market that (supposedly), everyone seems to so desperately want? Then you too can be a billionaire a$$hat and retire to somewhere with great roads. Maybe then you won't catch so much flak for doing stuff the right way!   :)) :))

that's ok Matt, I have done a pile of research, and found the massive screw up folks are making with PCV mapping. No smoke and mirrors here, just chemistry. But since if I let this out it's really going to create a s***storm, I'm thinking to not post it. When you're here next week I'll tell it to you personally, you will totally get it. Steve
