12,000 mile service
« on: December 06, 2012, 06:30:55 pm »
Hey Folks, I didn't see this posted ( OK I didn't look to hard)  My 2012 Connie has 12,000 miles on her and I have Fred's DVD's. I've ordered plugs a Mighty Vac and a 1 way bleeder for the brakes and cluch. My question is about radiator fluid. Can I buy a 50/50 mix that is safe for my Connie. I'm changing all fluids  is there anything else I need to take a look at? I'm on my second P3 and and the brake pads look ok..... Thanks in advance for your responce. Plus while I'm the mix I'll add an air filter too. And I've changed out the rear drive fluid too.

As long as the fluid is safe for aluminum radiators it should be fine.    As for a 12k service...I waited till 15k and then gapped my valves at the same time (Plugs were perfect but since i was in there anyway I replaced them :) )

Good luck
You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.

Here's what you need for coolant.

I am going with Engine Ice on my next coolant face-lift.
I am voting for anyone who wasn't there during the government shut-down.
