Hi Mike, the only thing I use the receptacle for is my GPS & I had the same problem. I cut a piece of electrical tape about 3/16 or 1/4 wide & wrapped it 2 or 3 times just above the tapered transition at the inner end of the metal spring loaded contacts. Works great, nice & tight!
