Just to confirm cliff, you use the 5w-40w blue bottle synthetic rotella?

Do you run the engine hard ever? Or just cruise mostly?

Yep I'd like to know if it's the 5W-40 as well cause it's what's in my bike now.  And so much for scheduled valve adjustments????  Think I'll still do one at 25K miles but no way it's getting done at 16K.

WOW! That is a lot of riding.

How big is that stack of used tires behind your shop now?

Yes the 5 - 40 T6 in the blue bottle.

Everyone has a different definition of running the engine hard. I do spend a lot of time in the Ozark Mts. riding at a rather brisk pace. But my brisk may be slow to you or it could be blistering.

How many valve adjusts have you done in that 150,000?
In theory, practice and theory are the same. In practice, they aren't. Without data you are just another guy with an opinion.

From post #22

I use Rotella T6 oil. It's had 2 valve adjustments. First at 64,000 with 9 tight & second at 120,000 with all of them tight.

I'll bet most riders that see that sticker will think he's selling something; yeah, Kawasaki C14's  :))

That sticker ought to give Cliff some kind of guru status among the C14 crowd. Anything over 100K should :beerchug:

Now if I could just get my wife to be agreeable to my riding as is his    :)
