i heated up the stock kickstand and bent it as well but i didnt like the looks and i didnt think it was a long term solution.
thats why i added the PSR adjustable kickstand.

my lowering link did not work with the center stand.

i tried to use the center stand at the dealership and all i can tell you is thank god my friend was standing on the other side of the bike as it was going over had he not been there :truce:

Are you able to put the bike on the center stand after lowering? That and bottoming out would scare me.

the roaring toyz adjustable lowering link was not compatible with the center stand.
so i removed the center stand.

to my knowledge i never came close to bottoming out even with my wife,a full tank of gas,both side bags full and a backpack on the back.
i never scraped the hero pegs...maybe i wasnt trying hard enough :great:

I have the Muzzy Links and (with the Muzzy's) the Center Stand does fit on the bike.
But, (Unless your name is Superman) it's extremely hard to get the bike "up" on the stand.

So, I removed my stand, removed 1" (from above the crossbar), and lowered the spring perch and stop 1".
It now works perfectly.
In fact it's easier to get on the stand than it was before I lowered the bike and modified the stand.

Ted;

If you have the time, could you post a pic of your center-stand (as close as possible)   This sounds like a great design, and I'd like to replicate it on mine... (Your explanation is good, I'd just like to see a pic to make sure I'm interpreting it correctly..)

Thanks

Jamie

Classvino, I'm pretty good at fabricating, but awful at getting pictures from my phone to this Forum.

If you (or someone) will send me your cell phone number, I'll send the photo's and you can post them?

NOTE: I took pictures of;  mine (modified)
                                      and a stocker (with tape indicating where to cut, what to move down, and a alignment tool)
                                           {to hold the pivots in alignment while cutting and welding}

The center stand is one of those things where you have to ask for help if you can't do it, I ask my neighbor to help me when I need to check things it is ok. I have tried to use the wood blocks and it is doable with some straining and risk of losing to gravity, but I prefer to ask for help than doing damage. I am looking forward to see some of the pictures of the modified center stand. Thanks.

I am looking forward to see some of the pictures of the modified center stand.

I sent the photo's to Clasvino, but he also can't post them.
(I sent photo's of the modified stand and a stock stand with tape indicating the cut points.)

If someone (that can post) would PM me a Cell Number I'll send them to you.
