2008 ZG1400 tire stem seals ( O ring )
« on: April 26, 2016, 07:44:14 pm »
Can't seem to find these tire stem seals .. to replace existing ones after changing the batteries in the wheel pressure sensors.  Dealers have no individual part # .. or description.
Would like to have them in hand before getting started.  Will appreciate any info about these tiny, but so important parts !

I'm sure they only come with the TPMS modules.  A lot to pay for an o-ring.  How about trying a plumbing supply shop, an ACE (or similar) hardware store, or a NAPA Auto Parts.  My guess is that you will be able to locate a suitable substitute without too much trouble.

I just bought a set from Murphy's. Check his web site.

I just changed the battery in the front wheel and had it mounted today. Didn't know you should replace this seal. Dang! Well, this the second battery replacement and two or three tire changes without new seals. No problems yet but will change them next time for sure!

for future reference, this is not a plain o-ring.
it is a formed seal, so please note that it should be replaced with the proper seal.
