It sounds stupid but did you try to start the bike?  I thought I lost mine and turns out it was on the bike.  I just went out and it started and I knew it had to be close.

 :rotflmao:

That's how I looked for my FOB last week. My wife and I got ready for a ride, had everything packed, and I couldn't find my FOB. I looked everywhere around the bike since I just had it. I looked in the tank bag, in between the saddlebags and the bike, nothing. My wife had a FOB with her, so I had her go inside the house so hers wouldn't activate KIPASS. I pushed the stove key, and the system activated. It had to be near. I had to completely empty a large tank bag and found it buried inside.  >:(  :))

This makes a cautionary tale

Always have a spare wallet key - which will start the bike, plus has the DNA required to program a replacement fob

Here's typical p/n's and retail pricing:

This item: Kawasaki SPARE FOB KEY (21175-0256) $42.64
Kawasaki KEY-LOCK, BLANK, #A, SPARE FOB (27008-0062) $13.92
Kawasaki KEY-LOCK, BLANK, #B, SPARE FOB (27008-0063) $13.92
Kawasaki FOB KEY (21175-0726) $307.90

OK, could someone please explain what each of the above items actually are ??  I would really appreciate it.

My 08 came with 2 regular Fobs. But my 16 Came with  only one (these are the black ones that take a battery:Active Fob 21175-0726)
Then I have a small flat Fob that does not use a battery : its an Immobilizer or Passive Fob 21175-0256
So these come with keys . The key for the main fob is different than the key for the little spare Fob.
 Hope this helps.
