Title: Another rare October awesome weather day in Iowa!
Post by: Bogie on October 09, 2017, 08:06:32 pm
Crazy nice weather for October here in Iowa.

Took the day off to run some errands and to clean up both bikes from the weekend riding. So handy to have a bike with bags again to pick stuff up.  :motonoises: Took the long way to every stop today and then finally washed the buggy girl. Now she is all clean and purdy again!  :great:

Looks like a beautiful day.
I was always under the impression that using a pressure wash on a bike was not a good idea. I assume you had no issues.

Maybe he only used the soap from a distance and the pre soak or spot free rinse option lol. I prefer to hand wash all my vehicles and use a hose and bucket.

It was an amazing day.  72 degrees and sun for this time of year is rare here so I had to take advantage of it.

I only use the presoak soap and low pressure spot free rinse from a distance.  I don't have access to a hose and bucket at the apartment complex.

Sunday was one of those days up here in northern Michigan. Road across
the state towards lake Huron. Stopped for lunch at a classic old restruant,
Ma Deeters. Colors are just starting to get really good.
I have always used pressures washers to clean my bikes, 4 Wheeler's and
trucks. You just have to use your head and think about what your doing.
I also use a back pack blower for drying. I see know difference between
doing this and riding 70mph for hours on end. Besides I would rather find
a problem at home than out on the road, here I can fix it correctly.

The carwash I use also put in a new hand held air drying tool that I use too.  :great:

Glad you enjoyed your day off! It is 32 this morning on this side of the river. What is it like over there today? I just got back from my yearly visit with my sisters in Phoenix. Got a pretty nasty sunburn on the second day there. Still itchy....

We are sitting at 47 this morning so far.  I heard that NW Iowa saw some flurries yesterday morning.

hey, some friendly advice here as you are new....
PLEASE...PLEASE....PLEASE...
reduce the file sizes on the photos you are posting here... I know they are hosted on your web host, but the extreme file size is causing any subject you post a photo in to come to a screeching crawl, even for people with high speed internet..
I always appreciate good photos.... but they don't have to be gigabyte sized to clearly show...
I'm asking this as it has caused my android tablet to continually crash when i am checking a thread you posted these in, rendering it a hinderance..

I'll also add, that the C14 thread on ADV Riders forum you have done the same thing to, has rendered the same results there... and frankly its very annoying.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but my machines are not antiques, and you have rendered them into screaming mode by these file sizes.

thanks in advance.

webmaster tools show this page weighing in at 83MB which would qualify as excessive in my book.
I'm not familiar with imgbb, do they offer a resample/resize option?

We got some weather changes coming in tonight. There are high wind advisories and freeze warnings issued for my area.   :(

I spent yesterday afternoon making sure my Escape would start and put the roadster in the back of the garage with its freshly treated fuel tank with StaBil. Then went around the house making sure all the windows were closed tightly and blew the leaves away from the foundation and treated any cracks and crevices in the foundation with some spray sealer. (The same stuff that they used to cover a screen door in the bottom of a boat) Then got my new snowblower out and installed the snow cab on it.

Bring it!   :great:   (I took the pic before putting the roadster in the back)

Is the snowblower snow cap really the convertible top from the Miata?
