So says the guy from YouTube.
C14 is a glorified touring bike.... MSTR/SuperDuke GT are what sport touring is all about. True sportbike like handling with touring amenities.
You buy a sport touring machine cause you want something slightly more comfortable, but you still want to go stupid fast when the time calls for it.
Bikes like the Hyabusa, zx14r, or grabbing standard/naked bikes then fitting them with touring parts are straight up sport bikes. You can't get tall windscreens no matter what you do on these bikes. Planks for seats are standard on EACH and every single bike. These bikes are ridiculous and almost always have a 4.5 gallon tank Minus the Busa/ZX14
VFR800/VFR1200
k1300S
SuperDuke GT
S1000XR
GSX-S1000F( barely)
R1200RS
Aprilia Caponord
Ducati Multistrada
Ducati Supersport
MV agusta Stradale 800
These are all TRUE Sport Touring bikes. They are neither Best at the Touring aspect, but neither are they great in the Sport Aspect. They sit in a FIRM middle Ground.
You don't go buy some 700lb gorilla (670ish lb C14) to go do that. C14 & FJR1300 are like introductory bikes to the big Luxury Liners.. They're what you buy when you are looking for a cheap touring bike. Can't afford a Goldwing, K1600, or high model Cruiser? You buy a Connie, FJR1300, F 800 GT, Norge, 1200 RT.
I'm sorry but the Connie/FJR does the Touring Aspect way to damn good to even be called Sport Touring.
YouTube is always so entertaining. First time I've ever heard this said, so figured it was worth a post.
Thoughts?
