Title: Buying a 2008 What to Look For
Post by: Babbitt on October 05, 2018, 10:27:59 pm
I am a long time rider and have been looking at the Concours for a while now.

There is a 08 with 45K milles near me.  I took it for a test and everything felt great.  The rear brake did feel a little mushy and weak. Is that typical?  Anything in particular I should look at from this vintage?

The 2010+ are a lot more expensive. Is it worth the money (if I can find it)?

Thanks

Is it worth seeking out an ABS model in these early model years? The 08 and 09s in my area are around $5 with low miles.

Mine is an 08 with ABS and love it. Good price and same engine. Living here in the PNW I'll take any extra heat I can get. Bought mine with 8K and already up to 25 in less than two years. Bike is less fun sitting in the garage than moving under my butt, so I try to keep it under my butt.
