Cracked cover C14
« on: September 16, 2015, 11:16:17 pm »
After riding home from work today I noticed the left side inner cover was cracked at the screw below the grip warmer control. It had to of cracked recently and I have not worked on the bike or tightened anything in a while. Just cracked for no apparent reason?

Anyone else seen this happen?

I just replaced mine on the right side. I didn't even think to take it in to dealer to see if they would have covered it under warranty.

I always nut and bolt the bikes being sure to check the tightness of the bolts. Its all by hand and by feel on my part for the body work and plastics. Only the plastics BTW. Most of the bolts have a small plastic washer under them. Repair the plastic from the backside and it will look like new.
