Which one are you referring too?
Their all shown with bags on.

Ride safe, Ted

I was referring to this one in particular:  https://delkevic.com/complete-de-cat-4-2-exhaust-concours-14-2008-2019-with-mini-8-carbon-fiber-round-muffler-and-stainless-steel-headers/

I realize that on the site they show a pic with the bags on, but surely the heat will feed right into the bag.

Even this guy had a meltdown issue and he is/was running a much longer can: https://delkevic.com/complete-de-cat-4-2-exhaust-concours-14-2008-2019-with-mini-8-carbon-fiber-round-muffler-and-stainless-steel-headers/

I'll agree that a turned down tip would be better but,,,,
  If your posting the picture of the guy that melted his rear bag hinge {??}
    http://forum.cog-online.org/concours-14-zg1400-general-chat-and-tech/damaged-bag-from-delkevic/msg668607/#msg668607
    Go back and look at his photo. Look at his muffler angle.
      He didn't adjust the outlet of his Muffler so that it didn't point directly at the hinge.
        Result was the melt down.

NOTE: Before you tighten the muffler/mid pipe clamps, you can rotate the mid pipe for optimum clearance.

          {Because of the bends in the mid pipe} it sort-of has a cam action that allows the muffler angle to be adjustable.
             You would be surprised by how much it can be adjusted. It just takes a bit of planning...

Ride safe, Ted

PS: Before Delk offered this; I built my system from a ZX-14 header and modified the mid pipes to get the angles/clearance I wanted.
       Believe me, anything is possible... Here is 2 versions of mine.

 I know we are talking Delkevic now but while on the subject of pipe angle burnt bags ect. here is where I am.  yall see any issues here?
  I have right at an inch clearance to the bag and 2 3/8" from the top of the hole to the bottom of the bag.

about normal, but the stainless steel isn't going to help like carbon fiber does.

 I actually took teds( thanks Ted) advice today and rolled the mid pipe to get a tick more clearance. By rolling the mid just a smidge it uses the muffler strap as a pivot point and  lowers the rear of the Muffler as it raises the front. This gave me about a 1/4 inch more clearance . May not sound like much but Ill take all I can get .

Also note that you not only gained 1/4" the exhaust exit is now directed more away from the bag. I have run A 14" carbon slash cut Delkalvic for about 20,000 miles without issue. Like Ted mentioned, in the post about the melted bag the cans exit was point directly at the bag it was caused more from where the can was pointed than its clearance.

 You are correct. Before It was ever so slightly pointed up now its where it should be.  May have been fine anyway but I feel better .

You did what I suggested?!?!  :-\
  No one "ever" does what I suggest. {Prolly because I'm normally wrong  :-[}
        I are amazed!!   :great:

While I'm on a roll;
     You can also loosen the hangar bolts and push down on the rear of the muffler while retightening.
     Will give you a bit more clearance and the mid pipe will normalize after several heat cycles and stay there..

Got that new larger size helmet ordered yet, Ted? I like the Shoei GT-Air.

So, after hearing the trash can getting the H beat out of it, we're looking at the dinner plate size bear tracks in the snow. My wife says, "Why don't you go down and see if it's still there?"!!!
