Front brake lever reach?
« on: April 17, 2017, 11:23:42 am »
Ok, I've looked, I've googled, can't find it.

Is there a way to shorten the reach of the front brake lever. Even on the closest setting on the adjuster, it's still a long, weird, reach.

It just seems like the kick bend of the lever is too much. Are different levers any better at this?

My Aprilia is just about perfect, but the Connie seems like the lever is WAY out there, and at a funny angle.

Yes I bought it new last year, no, it's never been dropped...

Thanks,

Rich

Does it make a difference if it's the short or regular levers?

The vortex I just got has the reach to the brake lever a little shorter.  Much easier to control the throttle while hovering the brake.  US company, easy install, I got the shorty.  With it two fingers naturally go on it.  Three fit.

Overall most beautiful bike I've ever seen was a  Green ZX14 that had aftermarket levers that were green anodized with knife blade sides facing back toward the rider. I mean, come on, I don't care how they felt or what damage they did to the grips, that was the coolest farkle on the coolest looking bike on the road. I will someday own a Green connie, when they are used enough to enter my price range!

I recently bought and installed the ASV C5 Shorty brake lever- PERFECT!

It's a fair amount more $$ than the Pazzos tho, but with lots more adjustability... I had a few Jake Wilson bucks to burn, so it wasn't too bad. Eventually I'll get the standard length clutch lever, as you can buy them individually.

Hi,
Thanks Robert, I'm sure the ASV's are excellent and have heard good things about them! :beerchug:

The thing is with the Pazzo's you can get a pair for $150 with whatever color adjuster you want and they are great also! :great:

I would honestly use either one, but at the end of the day (for me) it does come down to $$$!!! :(
