I shopped around the NE area of the country as well and found a TON of left over 2017's for sale. I saw an advertised price of $11,799 with no add on fees in WV...

I ended up with a new leftover 2016 because I liked the metallic gray, but ultimately go with the color you want and best deal you can find...
I'm hearing what you are saying....

But my math skills work, and the o/p's price otd is still lower, his price did include sales tax... the WVa didn't, and @ 6% added to CL price... its $12,506.94, now add in the fact its a WVa. sale, so GK gets a WVa. Temp tag, and title...to get back to Va.
Then ha has to get it titled in Va., and add in his plate fee, again,
Then he will still have to pay Va. every year after, a "luxury" tax, which never ends... and is a p.I.t.a.
That part is the real bummer, and in 10 years, he will have spent the original purchase price again, in rediculous taxes... but that's a given as a bike or vehical owner in Va. and a moot point,
O/p is still ahead in his home state, by $63.94.... and has a good dealer, when he needs service... not some mumbojumbo we have heard for the last 10 years, about dealers not wanting to do warranty work..on a bike not purchased from them... (Ultimate, by the way, does NOT subscribe to that mentality..they are Top Tier, and it takes a lot more than "high sales" to get the rating they have now).
GK is dealing with a dealership in his home state, about 45 minutes from home, straight shot down Rt 95, and a dealer that has proven his track record with me, on my bike, and also a couple hundred COG /Forum members, with his low priced KPP deal...
He has a track record... that's hard to beat.

Its all good..
