Install gone bad.....
« on: September 10, 2017, 02:14:34 am »
Well, let me start out by saying this has been a very frustrating day.   >:(

After church service this morning decided to finally go ahead and start installing new brake lights I purchased from Advanced Sport touring.  I've had these lights for over five months and just now getting to installing them.

Everything was going well and I started buttoning everything up when two of the wires slipped out of there connectors from some unknown location and now can't find were they go.  :-[ All connectors have wires going to them so I am guessing maybe it went to a connector with multiple wires.  This should have been an hour job but ended up not being and still currently troubleshooting. :truce:  The bike still turns on and all the lights work just fine but as soon as i turn the key to the off position i have a clicking sound coming from what seems like the glove box and the bike acts like it can't shut off with the lights flashing on an off for about 3 seconds before finally turning off?  This does not sound good but not sure what this is.  Any ideas?

I'm going to take another stab at it tomorrow morning but very frustrating.   >:(

I had similar encounter with equipment I worked once. Everything seemed to be failing despite my assiduity.     Then I asked myself, would would Jesus do? I'll tell you, miracles do happen when you ask the right guy ... ;)

Said a quick prayer this morning prior to starting on the bike again.  Within minutes was able to locate the two wires that came lose and completed the install.  No more issues with the bike! :)

Then I asked myself, would would Jesus do?... ;)

He would ride a Connie, fight for justice and equality for all humans of the Earth, rail against corporations, plead for universal health care, and never in a million billion years be caught dead on an expensive way to convert fuel into smoke and noise Harley.  :)

Somewhere in Kings (Old Testament) it talked about David riding a Triumph.. "The sound of his triumph was heard throughout Israel..."  Maybe Jesus would keep it in the family and ride a Daytona.
