This should be posted in the C14 BIKE section
http://forum.cog-online.org/concours-14-zg1400-general-chat-and-tech/

Someone/moderator, should be along shortly, and move it for you, so please don't double post as a new forum user.

K-ACT is Kawasaki's marketing name for the anti-lock braking system (ABS) installed on the C14 as well as some other Kawasaki models.  Here is what THEY say it is:

https://www.kawasaki-cp.khi.co.jp/technology/chassis/tech_k-act_abs_e.html

On the C14 you can often feel the K-ACT activating as you brake, especially if you are using only the front or rear vs. both at the same time.  The system make also apply more braking force to one wheel or the other in order to do what it thinks needs to be done.  If you apply the brakes firmly enough on a slippery surface  you will also feel that much the same as an automotive ABS system as pulses in the braking force as it tries to prevent the wheel from locking up.
