Key FOB in the washing machine
« on: August 07, 2019, 08:40:41 pm »
Grabbed a pair of pants off the shelf today and felt something hard in the pocket.  Pulled out my key fob.    >:(
No luck - it was DOA.  But after putting in a new battery - all is well.  I think I got lucky on this one.  I just have the one fob.  Might be time to buy a spare and get it programmed.

Drop it in a bag of rice for awhile to get any moisture out .

Looks like the dryer took care of that for me.  It was dry as a bone inside.

I did a triathlon with my truck keys in my pocket. I thought the swim part killed my remote. I let it dry out and good as new. I think you will be fine. Those things are tough.
