Key mod

Don’t know if it can be done but has anyone had a custom key made similar to this?

find any knob or cap, fill with epoxy, insert ground down key and let set

I’ve done it before, just didn’t know if it could be done with the main ignition key..

Unless you have lost the stove top original key why would you want to?  The stove top key looks clean there as it fills the void.  I have done this key mod and leave it in the side bag... pull it for the gas cap.  The stove top never comes out...

I made 1 for each side bag and the trunk bag.
Works great there.. EZ to use to open tank.

One of the best and easy improvements you can do IMHO. I used the black cap from a hot sauce bottle. This cap-key floats between the left or right saddle bags and is always used to open the gas cap. I think my stove knob key has been removed one time in over 7 years.
