I was amazed at the difference between the stock headlights and the Evitek LEDs. Although these are the ones I ended up buying (G6-H4 model). As a bonus, the reviews to the below link mention the concours numerous times, so it's obvious many connie riders have installed these.

I think the eviteks were what phil and I had delivered to the rally in helen ga. they work awesomely.  get some of the phillips led city light bulbs, they match the color of the evitek led and make it look like a stock install instead of the  2 faded yellowish citylights among the high output leds.

Two versions?  Not sure. We got the ones that didn't work very well on her Vulcan-S. I may try again since so many have had good results on various model bikes. The patterns were HORRIBLE and I replaced  the halogen.
Not sure what I could have done wrong.

How do I determine whether one of these kits is well engineered and worth the $4 and trouble?  Reviews are all over the place.  I'm looking for a high output H9.

OK... update.
Roman, I got the G6-H4 bulbs. I didn't know there were two versions, but I'm not sure there's much difference. They are supposed to be 6500K, my 10W LED running lamps are supposed to be 6000K, but they sure look like the same color. Possibly one of them is off, or my lamps were mislabeled, but in any case, I like the result with all four lights pretty much the same color.
The light patterns are very good. The low beam cut-off may be a little less sharp than with the halogens, but still good. There is so much more light on the road, giving much better visibility, that I am VERY happy with them. The same story with Irene's Vulcan S.
What went wrong... well, ask me in person, and I may tell you. too embarassing to post :-[ :-[ :-[

Thanks Steve for recommending them!

Which is the right set?  Is the G6-H4 the right one for the C14?

While they certainly look good I am not sure they will fit in the C14 headlamp assembly. It does not appear that the large end cap is removable. This could certainly cause some installation headaches.
Also note: NO RETURNS from that seller.

I just installed the Evitek's from Amazon and I really like them. The pattern is pretty close to stock but they are much whiter and a bit brighter as well.
They have a very sharp low beam cutoff.

Good to know. I am looking for replacements for my work van and a honda accord that currently has HID on the low side but stock bulbs on high beam. I tried a cheap set from amazon that are really bright but the cutoff is all but non-existent and it blinds oncoming traffic.

My Brother and I both have these in our ZG1400s, they are amazing with a razor like horizontal cut off and distance for days. We A/B tested against new Sylvania Silver stars and the LEDs were both clearer and showed better at 600ft.

I also have his auxiliary  LEDs on my XR650l and they light up the night as well.
