Bought my 2012 as a demo in early 2013 with 400 miles on it.

Water pump was weeping after my first ride, replaced under warranty.
Final drive began leaking at 5k, seals/bearings covered under warranty.
Cam sensor o-ring had started a slight leak when bike was sold w/8k.

None, zippo, nada.

2013 w/ just over 50K miles on it (purchased in July '15). Only needed maintenance work (e.g., oil changes, valve checks/adjustments, brake pads, tires, ...); no failures.

It doesn't sit idle over a week. Super bike IMO!  :great:

'08, purchased 7/7/07..
only actual "failure" was the dreaded rear brake "got stoned", and cooked the caliper, and disc... all repaired fully under warranty, new rotor, caliper, pads, and fluids...
got the "recall notice" about a week after the thing cooked... :-[ :-[ :-[

other than OEM battery was replaced by me, after 4 years of "emmiting corrosive fumes" around the terminals seals, only other thing was dead TPMS batteries, sensors replaced in '12 with fresh new old style ones, under extended KPP.. rear brake recall #2 performed also.

pretty much tires and oil changes, Batteries (my fault for neglecting them, and letting them freeze), and a valve adjust since '07 are my only expenses.

Oh, and I did do the legwork to find the MOB approved exhaust sensor O-Ring, which cured that issue back when it popped up.. and as the Kaw ring failed, and the one I found didn't... I can't say it was a big deal. just a drip. Just so anyone that wants them knows, Murph now carries them, I stopped sending them out... way to many trips to the post office for me to do. I did contact Kaw, directly, to the head of tech services, and explained the issue as an Engineer.. and you would expect a response/thank you/or even bugger off at the least.. but no... talkin' to a fence post is what I got outta that... you think the fact I sent almost 1,000 of those rings out during a brief period of time would have made them listen... go figure?

:-\ >:( :nananana: :nananana: :nananana: :-X :great: :great: :great:

2011 model; 58,000 miles; no failures.  Nicely reliable.   :beerchug:

Did valves at 33,000, 3 were out; adjusted all and don't intend to check them again.  New rad coolant then.
Change synthetic oil at 3 - 4,000 mile intervals, filter every 2nd change - have magnetic oil drain plug.
I do the rear hub oil when I remember it (did in 2018 for ~4th time); have magnetic plug there too.
Expect to do the clutch and brake fluids in 2019.
- Happy New Year -

TryCities, WA.    2011  C-14, silver; 53,000 miles.

I've got under 500 miles on my new to me 2012, total miles on bike is 4,500 miles.
TPMS batteries, FOB battery, cam sensor leak, valve cover gasket leak, glove box door broken. These all popped up my first week of ownership and took a little wind out of my sails. ::)

My first thoughts, is this a Harley? A well engineered Japanese motorcycle leaking oil?

No warranty

14 year owner of a Harley it never had a oil leak,
What is the issue with your broke glove box door ? Mine won’t open !

There is an electrical connection underneath the glovebox, you can reach it from the top easily. I reached underneath searching for it and found several. The black one is for the glovebox. Mine was disconnected and was an easy fix.

Hope its easy fix for you also.

Crank position sensor - 40k miles this past summer. never had any other issues with the bike other than routine maintenance, Cam sensor and valve cover gaskets.
If it ain't fast and won't corner... Crome it.
