MY 2018 Concours 14...

... is anyone "connected" to Kawasaki USA that can confirm the MY18 despite the fact MY17 (GTR 1400) has been discontinued in Europe, Australia, etc. ?

It was my perception we had a couple guys here that claimed some connections... time to show up ;)

According to some Environmental regulatory agency, Kawasaki USA applied for the M18 Concours 14...not clear if it is a "new" model or the "Third World" version of the ZG 1400.

Well...if you watch closely in the youtube video, it's tagged as a 2015 model, the superior faster green C14.  ;)

The C14 is 10 years old and ready for some retooling, suspension and technology, at least.
I bought my 2nd C14, a 2016 in April 2017. I like the 2016 color moondust, it was in-the-box and I liked the price.
I would have waited if there was a new C14 in the works.
I asked a lot of questions regarding the future of the C14, if it was to be redesigned.
All the dealers say "I don't know, you'll have to wait till November".
I don't think the local dealers know what Kaw is planning and I hate that!

On the other hand, Yamaha announced the T7 and can't stop talking.

IMO - the C14 has a lot more relevance and is more "up to date" than the C10 was at nearly 10 years old.  And I did have a C10 before the C14.  The price value is better in comparison is what I mean to say.  Suspension wise, it can certainly be improved, but don't see it lagging - for the Japanese bikes.

All that only applies if you can handle no CC, of course.

The way the title of this post was - I was expecting to see pictures of YOUR 2018 Concours you just bought.  ;D :D :-\

But instead you want info (or rumors) of What or When a 2018 Model Year will appear.

Sorry I can't help you as I'm done holding my breathe for an updated version to appear with the missing items so many other bikes have
as standard equipment.  I could be wrong but if they don't put cruise etc. on ASAP then they will see lower sales numbers.

Seems a short range.
My McCruise will engage down to 25 so it's good in School Zones. And I think it will engage in any gear but haven't tried it in 1st.   ;D
I don't usually cruise at 85 or more but I'm pretty sure it will engage well above 85 too.
My point is IF they ever put one on a C14 I would hope it had a little more range to be useful.

I doubt many of us would be ready to trade-up next year if Kawi DID actually give us a fully updated version of our beloved (the precious!) c14.

With that being said, they friggin OWE us a new bike!!!

We are long overdue for some REAL upgrades and modernization.
LED Headlights, B/T Integration (that's a big ask), ESA, Drive-by-Wire Throttle, and ALL the goodies that comes with,
including Cruise.  XM anyone???  Seriously.....

We know the motor will never get WEAKER, right?!

Be careful what you wish for, you just might get in, in the wallet that is.

Because I need/want a new bike and I am hoping the Connie will offer Cruise Control and XM, like it should have for long trips.   I have tried the BMW and Gold Wing.  I like the Connie ride, but...

Not too worried about the wallet.  I would gladly pay for options. The aftermarket cruise control is fine, but I would really like to have am/fm XM and ultimately a two way radio system, for my month long trips.

Perhaps, in the future, Kaw will produce water-down version of sporty C14 for amenity connoisseurs. Perhaps it will become Honda Accord of motorcycles.
