Murphs ships them to you they work great

IDK a thing about nylon ones except they may not do well in hot environments depending on the type of nylon.

WELL...
I wouldn't attempt to torque that plug down tightly on a nylon one... i hope it doesn't split, or the plug falls out due to lack of tightness..
parts store guy must have been lazy, every parts store has both copper, and aluminum crush washers sitting right next to thee nylon ones on the display...

I have used nylon oil drain plug gaskets for years, on motorcycles, cars, and tractors.  Never had an issue with them.  They seal very well at low torque, I've never had one let the plug back out.  Just don't overtighten.

I prefer them over the aluminum ones.

The OEM washers on my Honda car are aluminum,  and the OEM ones for my Toyota are nylon, never had a problem with either, and IIRC they both callout about the same torque.

At 15 cents at peace I'll stay with the ones from Kawasaki.

Kawasaki price is cheap also..

92065GASKET,12X22X2
92065-097
$0.95

 :rotflmao:

$0.15 seems a bit low, but i suppose some parts stores have a 5 pack for $2

I know I have a pack of them somewhere, that I bought 25 years ago..  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

That's what my local Kawasaki dealer charged.
I was surprised, he usually has to order everything, not these.

I bought a bag full of the Toyota nylon ones for my KLR.  They were cheap on Amazon.  (Did I say it was for a KLR?)  But then I haven't used them because I got to thinking about less torque and what if the drain bolt falls out, then it won't be so cheap...  so I've been using copper ones anyway.  I guess the conclusion is that I'm not only cheap dumb too!

As was said, buy a bag of them from Murph.

Partzilla.com ( also has both the washers for both the oil drain plug and the final gear oil plug.
