OK, this has been going on long enough...
« on: June 16, 2018, 02:05:28 am »
Don't think it is all coincidence. Do others find cagers ignore the C-14 turn signals from the front? In the year plus I find it occurring more often as I approach an intersection signalling mostly for my right turn, the cars that could easily make their left turn into traffic just sit there and wait....and stare. Twice I have pulled over and checked my signals to make sure they were flashing, nice and bright they was.

I was thinking that maybe they are not very obvious as many bikes have the signal up high in the back of the mirrors, but the side mount C-14 ones are plenty obvious. This leave me thinking they are just awestruck by this massive blue enigma looking so beautiful it could surely not be slowing down to take a turn, but must be slowing to allow me to drink in the glory of its visage.

Maybe it is just me...

I have the same issue with the 2015 Green.

I was asked the other day, "Does that paint take batteries?"

A lot of the modern turn signals are hard to see at a slight angle. Turn on your signal and go stand 60 feet away and off to one side a little.

I'm a big believer in high-mount turn signals, and big bright LED units powering them.
Conspicuity is a life-saver in the motorcycling world, and statistically more accidents happen a car meets a motorcycle and turn across the bikes' path of travel.

I've been considering fabricating some LED's to be mounted in the mirrors since I bought this bike.
Wish somebody with more skill than me already did.

It would undoubtedly save lives.

Unless the cell phone camera is on, and pointed at you, they won’t see you with

And do not ever forget those cagers who want to harm motorcyclists on purpose.
There is nothing that will save you from their malice.
