Play in the swing arm to rear tire bracket?
« on: February 22, 2018, 04:29:03 pm »
I recently purchased a used 2013 c14 that had a really sad set of q3’s that needed to go so I changed to angel guts but when I had the rear wheel off I noticed a fair amount of play (wobble) on the piece that connects the rear tire to the swing arm in the left hand side. There was a r&g fram slides there that looks like it had been used and I’m worried it maybe messed up the bearing and needle in the joint. Has anyone else experienced the play on this part/ know what needs to be fixed?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you mean you're having play in one or both of the joints with arrows:

If so, then a small amount of play is normal especially when the rear suspension is unloaded such as when it's on the center stand.

Thanks jwh20, yes I was talking about the lower arrowed joint in your picture, but on the non swing arm side.  I was worried I might need new bearings but if that’s normal I’ll leave it alone!
