Rear luggage rack
« on: October 18, 2018, 03:32:53 pm »
I’m curious. I’m ordering parts. The rear top case rack has also 2 bars going under the tail. Why is that?

I believe it depends on the size of the top case. The Kawasaki top case doesn't have supporting braces out side of what goes on the rear rack. I think, the large GIVI Mono Key has rear braces that tie into the rear reflectors or something like that.

http://forum.cog-online.org/concours-14-zg1400-general-chat-and-tech/support-for-top-case-rack/msg651830/#msg651830

This shows the braces for the large mono key case. I have the Kawasaki version of a mono key which is smaller than the large mono key. My case doesn't require the braces.

Lee, do you have a stock rack with a Givi Monokey adapter plate on top of it?
I think the braces are attached to the Give plate, not the original Kawasaki Rack.
I'm currently trying to find out if I can buy a set of those braces..

I believe you're looking for the Givi SR410.

Thanks Patrick. I think your correct, the rack/mount and braces are the 410.
I was asking about the braces only.
Was hoping I could buy braces only.

I have no more top rack but I keep top case on all my bikes so I’ll rig one up eventually.
