Seat
« on: September 05, 2017, 11:32:43 pm »
I'm looking for a stock seat for my 2011 Concours 14. This to have it modified for a more comfortable ride. I currently have a Sargent that I don't want to modify in hopes that I can sell it and offset the cost of the customized stock seat. I'm looking into a Saddlemen as I met a Connie rider at the Tail of the Dragon last month who had one and let me sit on it.

Any suggestions for a 6'4" long waisted rider for a more comfortable ride would be greatly appreciated! I have the two inch risers and highway pegs as well as a Calsci xxl windshield with a Laminar lip which keeps my helmet out of the wind (when raised up 100%). I'm also thinking of lowering the pegs and installing a Vance & Hines exhaust.

Thanks for your suggestions and if you know where I can find a stock seat!

ZX-14s use the same seat pan and are usually easier to find.

6'3" here and I am using the AST peg lowering kit, keep in mind that you may have a problem with midpipe clearance with an aftermarket slipon if you use the AST kit.

I installed the 2 Brother CF can with the AST lowered pegs and didn't have any problems but it will likely depend on the specific exhaust.

I don't want to hijack the thread but would you have a picture of this installed?

Not a problem - Send me a PM with your phone number and I'll text you a photo later this week when I can get the bike out of the garage.

How much would you want for seat? I have a Saddlemen on mine, which my wife says she sits too high. Looking for a Sargent.
