Shim map pdf.
« on: December 23, 2015, 03:14:35 am »
Does anyone have a down loadable pdf file of a shim map?
I thought I remembered seeing one about a year ago but can't remember
 who offered it.
My search showed one from x9rider but the link no longer works.
I've sent a pm but haven't heard back yet.
If anyone has something available, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.          John

Don't have the pdf, most of us use an Excel file. Use this link to download the file.

Here is a PDF of my map filled out.  I embellished it a bit to help me figured out the shim swaps.  Hope it helps.

I used it back in 2012 and posted it back then. Some people had trouble with the .exe version, but the .zip worked fine (Personally, I had no problem with the .exe, so...)

Butt... I think the spreadsheet version (from Fred?) is easier for most to figure out.

JP,  downloaded the file in your 1st reply above.  Is there one available that's blank, not already used and filled in?  To print out.

Just open it in a spreadsheet program like MS Excel, or Libre Office, or even MS Works and delete the info you don't want before printing. That's basically what I did, and then went back into the original unedited file, substituted my measurements and the formula's spit out the shim sizes. At least that's sort of what I recall doing.
