Support for Top Case rack?
« on: October 18, 2018, 01:33:09 pm »
I'm wanting to add a little extra support for when the wife rests against the trunk bag.

I've seen several Connies with a support brace under the rear of their Rack.
I don't know which rack they were on?
Does anyone know where to get them, and/or does anyone have a good picture {that could be used to build some}?

NOTE: I have a Phil's rack on my bike and think it's great. Highly recommend it!
The problem is not the rack, it's the Kawasaki Rails that need improvement.

Ride safe, Ted

I'm trying to sell a backrest that comes with a stronger rack than OEM. Pirate's Lair Stealth.

Thanks okrider, that looks good, and would be a good deal for someone.
I have a Kawasaki Trunk with pads attached already on the bike. So, no room for a backrest.
I'm looking for just the braces that attach from below the rack, to the rear of the bike.

I know I've seen them on some members bikes..
I forget which brand rack they were on, but pretty certain they were not on a Phil's rack.
Hoping it's something I can buy or build..

Yes, those are the braces I have seen. Thank you.
The add you posted is referring to the GiviRear rack for MONOKEY Kawasaki GTR 1400.
If you look closely (I think) you will see that the Givi Rack is an adapter/tack that is on top of the stock Kawasaki Rack.
I'll note them and ask if the braces are included, or can be purchased separately.

Ride safe, Ted
