Trike?
« on: September 22, 2017, 05:46:04 pm »
Has anyone heard of a c14 converted to a trike?  Thought this the other day, nothing on YT .  Bet that could be fun. I envision taking off  and leaving a couple black streaks! HA ha
I wanted to say I had a HD for a few years and the only thing i liked about that one was the horn.  Coincidentally, the only thing i don't like about my 2012 zg is the horn. .. I maybe used it once. Then quit using it; because I'd be laughing too hard.

Haven't seen a trike but I did some pictures of a C14 with a sidecar and leading link.

Googled it and found a pic of one with a Frankenstein kit, but that doesn't count. Not a real trike.

Sidecars belong to Ural or Beemer community.
Sidecar on a C14 is like a third boob on otherwise snazzy lady. I wouldn't want to be seen with her in public.

Cheers...

hey now!   :-\

they are actually quite fun in their own way.  That's actually Patti's second.  she sold the first one.  there are several C14 versions floating around the country.  When I was in the process of putting the sidecar on my C10, I found that there are several of those too.

just for amusement, check out http://hpsidecars.com/ForSale/ForSale.htm.  there are quite a few nice pics there.  I love to see the engineering detail on the front ends of some.  quite nice designs.  but yeah...they aren't for everyone.  MOBs response above is similar (not picking).  obviously trikes are not in everyone's wheelhouse either.   ;D

I did mine so that the three of us could ride together.  even a trike can't support that, so it was the only choice unless we wanted to go to 4 wheels like perhaps a jeep CJ.

IMHO castrating a stallion for jolly fun is wicked.   :-X

I've owned a bike with a side car. It was 2WD URAL with two separate saddles, before it was even available in USA. (I am not jus soli).  That thing was a real beast. I've had 6 people on it at one time, rode up the muddy hill and got us all (inebriated) home safely!
I've known joys of sidecarting, trust me.

Cheers...

Just for clarification. You are talking about the sidecar and not the third boob right?
