Title: TWISTED SISTERS
Post by: RICH59 on January 01, 2018, 09:29:13 pm
I'll be seeing family in the San Antonio are late March or Early April and am thinking about riding the Twisted Sisters.  I'll need to rent a couple of bikes but could only find Harleys at Eagle Rider.  I'd rather ride a sport tourer.  Does anyone know of a rental source that I can talk to?

Thanks

Thanks for the info.  I'll be traveling between Houston and San Antonio and was hoping to rent from a place near San Antonio or south of it.  I will see if Austin will fit into the schedule.

Rich, I recently did a search in San Antonio for a {non Harley} bike {For another member's use during the COG National}.
Was not successful.
There might be a place, but I was unable to locate it.
Please let us know if your successful.

Ride safe, Ted

PS: The Wildflower Ride is in April (6th I think).
Come during that time and ride the Sisters with us....   :great:

The advice of checking AUSTIN is probably your best bet.  I'm not even sure if there is a BMW dealer in San Antonio.

You might consider renting a GOLDWING instead if theres no luck with BMW.

Make sure you take in the episode of Ride that Norman Reedus did on the Twisted Sisters. My buddy in San Marcos took me for a ride over there in his Pick up last summer. Funny how few riders are out when it is over a hundred degrees for a solid week.

I will get down there one way or the other but I found the Reedus piece to give a little different perspective

You don't want to be on 337 in the summer months past about 12 noon.  HOT is not sufficient.

RIGHT NOW is when you wan't to go.

Rich, call Destination Cycle in Kerrville and ask for the owner Bob (or Sarah) Kee.  Bob often has a few bikes (Yamahas) that he has been known to rent out.  He sometimes has a used C-14 in stock as well and might rent that.  Can't hurt to ask and they are good folks.  Tell them I sent ya if you want.  Anyway they are maybe the best shot at a non-Harley ride in the area.
