Updated Tire Pressure Sensor Part Numbers
« on: August 03, 2009, 10:04:00 am »
It would appear that LDL may have realized they have a problem with their sensors because there is a new part number for the tire pressure sensors out.    The old part number was 21176-0071  The new part number is  21176-0107    If you have a sensor fail, be sure to get the dealer to order the new part number when they replace it. It probably will automatically come up for them when they order it, but it won't hurt to double check.    And no, I don't know what the changes are, but I will see if I can find out.

Thanks Fred,  The TPS seems to be one of the main things everyone loves about the bike but has the most problems with.  It will be nice if this is a good fix.  ----------------------------------  South Central Area Director  Email scad@cog-online.org    <p align="left">My Photos<br

I'm told by Kawasaki that the part number change had nothing to do with the batteries in the sensors, though they didn't inform me what actually was changed.

Got the front TPS replaced this week under waranty.  It would show low battery for a while.  It started last winter when it was cool, but quit as the weather warmed up.  Then I got a new front tire and it started again.  It would be OK after 10 minutes or so.  I will have to check on the part number they replaced it with.  I would think a new one as they ordered the TPS a couple weeks ago.
