Wonder if this can clone our TPMS
« on: May 05, 2019, 04:26:39 pm »
I've been watching this tool for a while, and while I know it won't be able to program the sensors to the C-14, it CAN clone sensors (to it's own propritary autel sensor but they aren't expensive).  If I recall correctly our bikes use 315mhz so do ya'all think the sensors for this would work on our bike?
https://www.amazon.com/Autel-Diagnostic-Condition-MX-sensors-MX-Sensor/dp/B0788GG1PZ/ref=as_li_ss_tl?keywords=autel+ts508&qid=1556848339&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=httpswwwy0837-20&linkId=686690390b391b60edd876aaf07d3f25&language=en_US

You can get 4 sensors and the tool for around what our sensors would cost from the dealer (Minus programming)

What do ya'll think?
You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.

Interesting...
I'd like to read the full instruction manual, before tossing the $$$ out for it tho.
It appears it will "clone" the coding from a working sensor, into their "clonable/recipient sensor"...
but I think the catch 22 is the sensor you are copying has to be active... that requires a battery that isn't already dead, and a functioning sensor, activated by spinning...holding the hand tool within 4" of the subject being cloned both of which may be difficult to accomplish just to "pull the code". :o

There is no mention on the battery life of the new "cloned" sensor either, or if they have replaceable batteries... :-X :truce:
after looking at the individual stems they sell, it does NOT say the battery is replaceable. So, when they die, you buy another sensor, but $30 beats $200 for sure...
