Title: Yet another brake thread

I'm preparing to replace the brake pads on my '09 C14 ABS, and I don't believe the calipers have ever been rebuilt...  So I'm thinking it may be a good time to do that, now.

Can anyone confirm that my parts list is complete for rebuilding all the calipers?  I do plan on removing the calipers from the brake lines so I can do the work on my bench...  So I need whatever seals/washers are involved in that.

Also, I'm still on my original brake lines.  What is the consensus on changing those out?  Okay to leave them?  Or should I replace?  OEM or Galfer?

Front Caliper (Buy 2x quantity stated)
1x 92049-1448 Oil Seal
4x 43049-0006 Packing
4x 43049-0007 Packing
2x 49091-0001 Crush Washer

Rear Caliper
1x 92049-1448 Oil Seal
2x 92049-1449 Packing
2x 92049-1450 Packing
2x 49091-0001 Crush Washer

It appears that Murphs sells a kit for the front, but the part numbers are invalid.  I don't see a kit available for the rear...  I have no problem buying the parts individually, but I'm curious why no kit exists...  Does everyone rebuild the rear along with the fronts?  Or are people skipping that?

As a side note -- yikes -- this is not a cheap endeavor!  Looks to be about $101 just to rebuild, if my part #'s and quantities are accurate.

Steel lines great idea. Flush every 2 years another great idea.
If you do need to rebuild check with Murph's by e-mail and
he will probably set you up with all you need.

Pretty much agree with Wulf however I would flush brake fluid annually being a 09. It seems like the rear ABS brake needs a little more attention. Seems like when I flush mine I get more trash suspended in the rear fluid than front brakes or clutch.

I have been religious with changing the brake fluid.  I did it in 2016, and it's due again, now.

It was more the rebuild and new lines that I'm curious about...  Necessary?  Or excessive?

Aside from my pads being worn and requiring replacement, I have no complaints about sticking brakes, or anything... But I'd hate to do the work and then find out I should have preemptively rebuilt everything.

When I did a rebuild due to a couple pistons not retracting. This is the kit I ordered. Just another option when needed.
