Yeah, I'm thinking white smuggler & trunk and white rear wheel too. But might as well see how it looks with the green rear wheel. Actually the blue rear wheel looks good if the smuggler is ignored/hidden (means they probably should be white), but I think both wheels white may be better. Overall I think green and blue shouldn't be next to each other. Just my opinion but food for thought. Good luck!

Rear wheel green. Front wheel white.

 :beerchug:

You've got me thinking about that one... The green wheels will go on hopefully next weekend, so I'll start with that and see how it looks...  ???

IMO that is the only option.

Fine... I love how you spend my $ guys...  :-[

I just went ahead and pulled the trigger on a front wheel from my ebay watch list, it was a good deal anyways so that's fine, I guess I'll get it powder coated white for ya'll!  :truce: ;) :) :beerchug:

Crap, I guess I'm doing another rear as well now... I really need to stay off ebay when drinking...  :-[ :truce:

Jay, my brother lives in the neighborhood...in Cedar Hills. Rides a C10, he just painted a similar blue, with a silver that is almost white.  Keep a lookout for him
By the way, white wheels?  You would be cleaning them everyday.

Na, I've ran white wheels before on other bikes, surprisingly they stay (or look) cleaner than black wheels, no worries Bruce!  :beerchug:

Ok, I just came from the powder coater, I think we're getting closer on finding a gold that I like for doing a set of wheels in...  >:D

What do you folks think about this one?  ???

It matches up pretty good with the Ohlins, EBC rotors, and ZX14R calipers... And looks nice with the Surf Blue.  :)

The calipers look a little brighter than the Ohlins, that color looks to split the difference between the two, could just be the picture though. Really, in person I doubt I'd see any real difference between the colors, as I would be overwhelmed by the beauty of bike as a whole.  :great:

Yep, you are spot on SM, in person is exactly what you described, it very much does split the difference between the color of the Ohlins and the color of the Calipers. They're gonna play with it to try and get a little more "bling" by shooting it over a glitter silver on some samples for me, if that turns out it just might be the ticket...

 ??? >:D

I shot that color when I was powder coating.  Wasn't the easiest color to get consistent, especially on a wheel.  Wonder how it would look over a gloss/glitter black?

I like the color..It is really nice. I just had my wheels done in gold powder coat. I never realized how many shades of gold there are.  >:(
It didn't come out perfect but I like them. I will post some pics tomorrow after i get the front mounted.

I still think that gold Alodine, yellow iridite coating you did way back is more suitable for the color combo, and it was slightly irridescent in nature, and depending from the viewing angle showed hints of both the green and bluish hues, and at times some purple/reddish highlights... oh, and it matched much more closely the finish on the Ohlins...

I'm almost positive this is what Ohlins uses as a finish.

Yep, that's more like the gold colored wheels I did back in 2012 that I had plated...  :beerchug:

This time though I want to do more of a darker/richer looking gold...  ???

The green makes the gold pop!  Nice.....I am on the fence with gold wheels though.  I would think they would
blend with your nice gold forks and calipers.....this way they stand out.....and the green flows nice since you have green on the lowers....good job.  fun watching what you come up with.

the green whells make that scheme look correct, the blue ones didn't... but with the top down red, white, blue scheme the blue wheels would work great...
I still think the Iridite gold rims were the best, wish I had them, so when I end up with my custom PlastiDip paint next year al Flamed out , I could be cool looking also... :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Thanks brutha's, glad you like!  :beerchug:

I just got home, here's some outside shots, the gold glitter in the green wheels really pops in the sun, even more than it shows in these pics! And the color match of the green wheels to bodywork is pretty spot on!  :great: :great:

I love this pic, even the pearl in white is visible in the pic...  ;) :)
