Lordy lordy! Been looking for a few days before I posted. Not to fully answer my own query, just found this. Not the whole answer but a start. Wish it was dated sensitive as to which years ZX14 had this length, etc.

Looking for 2012 or later fork tube suspension close to 32 inch axle to top of tube C10 measurement. Have a low milage C10, would like to upgrade forks. There is no appreciable difference in price of used front end regardless of make or age. Might as well go latest tech Showa as possible. Yeah am DIYer! Most everything is way shorter than 32 inches.

Sounds like fun!  Once you find a front end that is workable, please start a thread and let the rest of us watch and learn a bit.  My son's 87 was recently upgraded to 17" wheels and the ZX-9 front end.  This was a huge improvement to say the least.  I agree that you might as well go to the newest design that can be made to work.  Good luck! :great:

Did you follow posted procedures of ZX 9 conversion from net or go your own way? What year ZX 9 did you use? If I may ask also with bike off stand what axle center to top of fork tube measure? As well, fork tube top to ground in a plum line. Did you find handling quicker.  Any negatives?
Thanks for any reply?

Thanks Bob,

Have studied that one and others. Mainly wanting to 2015 or later suspension
as cost is no more or less. Rev Ryder has done a ZX14. Hoping he has a how to after
Nationals for me. Have looked at a few other conversion of other branded bIkes as net
is full of them. If I am going to do this going newer conversion parts.

The C10 I have is a keeper so do not mind the effort. Thanks ag'n for your input.

Lee, some have upgraded their C-14's to better front tubes.
Because of that I suspect there are lots C-14 tubes available.
Would the C-14 tubes be an option for u?

C14 WOULD BE AS EASY AS ZX14, BUT NOT EASY ACCORDING TO Rev Ryder who did put a ZX14 on a C10. Cost for used ZX14 and C14 front end are comparable on E-bay. So Zx14 would be better all else being equal would guess. Still researching possibilities for winter project. Not ruling any possibilities out as yet. Sorry bout caps. Typing is not my strong suit!
