Not picking on Rob...  but I've been wanting to do this since I saw it the other day...  :)  http://tinyurl.com/d4arue          --  Steve Smith, COG #3184  COG Northeast Area Director  (somewhere in south central CT)     If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

The tank bra is a great feature in my book. But that google function is beyond words.
I liked recreation enough that I took it up as a profession.

tank protector is on my list;  would someone with the targa comment: how is the quality? or just pay a little more and go oem?

Not sure about the Targa.  IIRC, the OEM one is manufactured by Lockhart-Phillips and the only difference be tween their retail version and the Kaw OEM is the embossed "Concours" on it.      I'm not really sure where the best deals are at this time. Maybe ronayers.com for the OEM.  Maybe your local dealer.  --  Steve Smith, COG #3184  COG Northeast Area Director  (somewhere in south central CT)     If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

I believe mine is a Targa and I have no issues with it. It is easy to put on and has been taken off and put back on plenty of times without issues   -----------------------  Brent Johnson  AMA# 1046574  COG# 8402  SF Bay Area California  1988 Red Concours "Ruby"  connie-dot-mrpepsi-dot-com

Keep your eye on e-bay and craigslist, they pop up relatively frequently. Good thing about having a bike that's been made virtually unchanged for 20 years.
