Different handlebar heights over the years?
« on: October 18, 2017, 02:42:23 am »
My 2005 c10 looks like stock Height handlebars but I know the guy had 86 shorter ones on there at one time. Maybe I don't need bar riders but just my stock bars back!  Anyone know how tall stock 05 bars are from the factory? Thanks!! Gus

Never knew this before, but Maw Kaw offered 2 heights for the handlebars from '86 to '06 according to the Kawasaki Parts House although it does not indicate which one was stock.  From the image, it appears I have the taller of the two.  The rise on my bars is 5.5 inches from the top of the base that bolts to the triple clamp, to the highest point of the bar riser.  In addition, I also have 1.5 inch riser blocks between the triple clamp and bars.

Update:
Well, leave it to COG to have all the info you need....  Short bars stock in '86, taller bars '87 on.

 :great:
My stock '86 bars measure 4" above mounting surface [triple clamp?]. Actual bar height, grip where your hands will sit is probably about 4 1/4" high. I'm 5'10", 32" inseam, and this bike just "fits" me as is.
