Finally got to ride!
« on: August 12, 2013, 09:00:29 pm »
It took me about a year, but I finally got my beast in a box on the road and enjoyed a couple good rides this weekend.  The motor is great, carburetes well,   suspension and brakes are solid too.

Of course I came back and wrote a list on more things to adjust and fix....Bleed clutch, bar risers on top of the list.

Thanks to the fine folks here who helped out.

Congrats on the road time. The build must have been quite a journey.

Congrats David,
You could get a set of bars of a later model Connie.
because: The bar risers make the 86 Bars the same height as the later model Connies.
86 and maybe 87 Connies had the shortest Bars..

Ride safe, Ted
14 Connie (Traveler II) / 03 Connie (Buddy)
Gone but not forgotten; 87 and 00 Connies..

If your not already a COGger, "consider becoming one".
