Snake,

I did that a while back...think I used the coolant bottle from a ninja 250...the older model...’88-‘07...had to fabricate a bracket...

ive used stuff like this before:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/8-800ML-CAR-RADIATOR-PERFORMANCE-OIL-FLUID-COOLANT-RESERVE-OVER-FLOW-TANK/132007440865?hash=item1ebc41b1e1:g:JAUAAOSwnw9aCU6o

just make sure if the cap doesnt vent, drill a tiny hole in it. or tap a 90 degree fittign on top for a breather. hose clamp to back frame rail will fit under cover nicely., done. basically what i have (actually, i used a clippard accumulator tank because i had one laying around)

sorry
I had to go dig my photos up and crop them, as my old photobucket account is dead...
here is the sytem I put together in 2005, all free stuff you have, with exception to possibly velcro...
both existing hoses are re purposed and used, but you switch thier positions to accomodate. Use the rubber bumpers pulled from the OEM bottle mt'g. bracket, drill holes in the batt box, and insert them if desired.
pretty much the photos show this all pictorially... once relocated, only put about 2 inches of coolant in the tank, that's all it needs when the system is full, this is just a catch/overflow bottle, but will function the asme as it used to.
good luck,

 :)) :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :))

tool kit? you mean that small plastic pouch, looked like a manicure kit?
The bike has 2 Huge plastic boxes... one of which carries a 9" x 14" x 5" thk tupperware tub... with about every tool needed to rip a bike apart, this is stuffed into a Concours zippered side bag liner, with emergency spare parts, tireplug tools, wheel removal tools, wire, connectors, tape, etc., and my mini aircompressor, and lived in my sidebag on my C10, and now on my C14, since day one.
it comes in handy for fixing other peoples bikes... :truce: :-X :rotflmao: :great:

I tossed that tray right off, so i could do my coolant relo, but I admit, on COGZilla, not wearing bags, I have 2 of those roll up RoadGear tool rolls, with selected tools and such, One sits on top of batt, the other behind the coolant bottle, both have big velcro patches to keep them in place, and fit nicely.

Yep, that's exactly where I put mine. Snug, but perfect fit.

snug is good.... we like snug....(easy boys...) >:D

it's kinda funny, when I decided to go that route, I had just removed the broken reservoir (shown in that photo) and set it on the battery, as the bike was a wreck, and nekid... and it just "fell" kinda into place...
I knew it was a winner right away. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
