Mirror hardware
« on: June 26, 2013, 09:52:28 pm »
Does anyone know where I can get the hardware that forms the joints on the mirrors? I went to tighten mine since they were getting a bit foldy on me, and both snapped off at the threads.  :-[

PS. One was the outer, one was the inner. So in need both.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing? Nobody?

Guess I will just have to break out the old pocket knife, mullet, and jeep. Then head to Home Depot.

The individual pieces cannot be purchased. You have to buy the entire mirror or come up with some garage creativity. I repaired one some time back since it broke 3 days before a trip. I used a piece of aluminum flat stock with a couple of holes drilled in it and some small bolts. Of course, the mirror then only adjusted in or out. You couldn't tilt or twist it.
