Pouring Rain w/Rifle Windshield? Very Wet.
« on: May 06, 2018, 04:41:00 am »
I was getting REALLY wet from rain coming right at my face from that big (7" x 1") gap at the Bottom of my Rifle Windshield.... the gap between it and the stock C10 fairing. Maybe a Foam 'noodle' tucked in there? Just when I needed good visibility in a heavy rain I got a wet face. Kinda came at me in streams
If the TRUTH is crystal clear..I must need glasses.

Yes, I have a Cee Bailey windscreen with a vent and I carry a piece of that foam pipe insulation for 1/2" copper pipe for rain events while riding. Got the idea from a poster on this forum years ago.

I used to keep a piece of the foam pipe wrap for 1/2" pipe in my fairing pocket. When it would rain, I'd slip in in the Rifle vent. Worked great.

I have a rifle and dont have that problem, seems very strange to me. Maybe because I am tall, I got the 19" screen and added a flip up deflector thing to make it a bit taller too, I still look over the top of it and during heavy rain there is still enough air flow to keep my visor clear.

My rain gear is really good so never get wet, I just dont understand how it matters with the vent?  I must be missing something.
