A case of beer in 12oz bottles is ~ 32 lbs.  Leave it at home. :'(

Only twice? Not bad... how many times did the other one fall off?

Only when I crash.  How many times is that?

Well, lessee...
x to the 2nd power times the cotangent, plus pi squared...

I don't know, but more than once.    :-[

Oh Hell No!  The 55 liter top case will take up the slack.  Rok Straps will support
the cases in such necessary hauling jobs.  BTDT.    :beerchug:

Funny thing is, if you look at the fairing under the luggage rack area, you can see stickers that say something like "do not exceed 15lb". This is where we all put our 48L+ top cases...I don't think ANYONE with a top case can say they didn't break that limit!

Yeah, but you need to use "man math", which is the system by which a 1/2 ton truck can carry seven or eight tons if you load it right.  My 1350-pound capacity Toyota 4x4 truck carried 2240 pounds of topsoil one day without a stumble. If you re-read that placard it clearly means "Up to 75 pounds IF NECESSARY."

Keep in mind that that 15 lb limit is relegated to the factory shelf.  Put on some aftermarket angle iron, and that 15 lb limit skyrockets!  The C10 is a pack mule.  It's only limited by the owner's ingenuity and engineering intrepidity.  EG:  Show me trailer capacity... that's what I thought.   :beerchug:

Great thread. Totally agree. Just makes me think how often the C-10 is called "top heavy."  Maybe we cause a little of it?  ;) BTDT.
